Let Us Celebrate The Return of Spring

Ostara falls on the first day of spring, and marks the energetic balance between light and darkness. As we literally move from more darkness in our days to more light, we metaphorically celebrate new beginnings, abundance, and great potential for a prosperous spring planting season, resulting in an abundant harvest later in the year.

Ostara is a good time to start taking action on the ideas and goals you started thinking about around Yule and Imbolc. What you plant during Ostara will be ready for harvest during the coming summer months.

Ostara

Ostara is a good time to start taking action on the ideas and goals you started thinking about

around Yule and Imbolc.

What you plant during Ostara will be ready for harvest during the coming summer months.

Ostara, why the egg?

The egg – and every seed – contains the potential for a new life.

Eggs symbolize the rebirth of nature, the fertility of the Earth and all creatures. In fact, the egg is often a symbol of the entire universe, as the egg contains a balance of male and female, light

and dark, in the egg yolk and egg white.

Why the Hare?

Originally the hare seems to have been a bird that the ancient goddess Ostara transformed into a quadruped. For this reason, the Hare, in grateful recollection of its former quality as bird and swift messenger of the Spring-Goddess, is able to lay eggs on her festival at this time.

Why would you want to attend?

Our Natural state is in tune with Nature, but in our busy society with so many demands for our time and energy, we have lost touch. Attending these ritual celebrations allows you time to think about where you are in the cycle of nature. Looking at how you can show up in your own life in a more in-tune way, with less stress, and learning to move in life with more ease and less angst.
